Our Vision

We seek to fulfil the Great Commandment to love God and love one another, and also obey the Great Commission by welcoming others into the Kingdom of God.

Therefore, life at Knightswood Baptist Church is balanced by a healthy combination of worship, fellowship and mission.

In all we do, we will -

Glorify God - We believe that the primary purpose of our existence is to glorify God and worship Him with the whole of our lives.

We seek to experience God throughout each day as we practise the presence of God in all that we do, wherever we may be.

We affirm the importance of daily, private devotions before God and regular corporate worship with other believers.

We wish our times of corporate worship to be joyful and sacrificial, and to be Christ-exalting, led by the Spirit, with thankfulness to the Father for all that He has done in our lives.

Build the Church - We wish to see God’s church built up to glorify God, encourage one another and be an effective witness to the world.

We value loving relationships which affirm each other, celebrate our unity in Christ in the midst of our diversity, and which build each other up in the way we speak and care for one another.

Our relations with one other will be characterised by love and grace. We always wish church to be a good place to be.

We will encourage each person to use their gifts and talents for the benefit of us all, and for each person to show the fruit of the Spirit when relating to others. We will all be involved in the ministry of the church and the pastoral care of one another. In working together, we will support our leaders as best we can.

Reach our Community - We affirm that mission is at the heart of God. We also affirm that God calls us to partner with His mission to tell the world of His Good News about the life, death and resurrection of Jesus.

We emphasise that the love each one of us has for God and for each other is one of our most effective witnesses to the world.

We recognise that evangelism and our acts of loving-kindness in mission must be Spirit-led, prayerful, relational, relevant and effective.
